Color Throwdown #596

It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge and we've got some bright, happy colors for you this week! I went with creating my own patterned background using dye inks and a stencil from Ink to Paper/Papertrey Ink. If you haven't tried Pixie spray to hold your stencils in place, you really must! It's a very low tack spray that keeps your stencil from moving  and is very easy to clean.

I sponged the edges of the Green Parakeet leaves with New Leaf ink. The flowers were leftover from a previous project and were stamped with Pure Poppy ink and white embossed for the second step stamping. The sentiment was silver embossed on heavy weight vellum.

STAMPS: Floral Delicacies (Ink to Paper).
PAPER: White, Green Parakeet, Vellum (Ink to Paper).
INK: Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, New Leaf (Ink to Paper); Versamark.
DIES: Floral Delicacies, Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border (Ink to Paper); Stitched Rectangle and Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics (My Favorite Things).

We are excited to announce a new guest designer for the month of June! Welcome DANA KIRBY of D Kirby Stamps! You don't want to miss her creation as well as the rest of the design team on the Color Throwdown blog! Hope to see you in the gallery!
