It's July 1, so that means it's time for a new release at ODBD! This month it's a banner themed group of stamps and dies and I can envision all kinds of fun projects with this theme! If my mother were still living, her birthday would be in July. She was always my biggest fan of my card creations and would proudly send them out to her friends and family. I made this pennant card with mom in mind...
The newly released items are the Pennants dies and the Pennant Alphabet Solid stamp set. I decided to use a small circle punch to punch out the letters. There was a tiny bit of vanilla cardstock that wasn't fully covered
with the stamped image, so I filled it in using a black Copic marker. There are many other ODBD elements used on this card: Fancy Foliage die, Ornate Hearts die, key from the Angel Wings die set. The designer papers are from ODBD Blushing Rose Collection.
For my second project, I went with some patriotic colors and created a navy on vintage cream banner so you can see what the banner stamps look like without the circle punching (same stamp set and same dies as in the first card). I'm also using the two other banner flags dies in varying lengths and paired it up with a shaker apothecary jar. The sentiment is from the Quote Collection 4 and the jar (from the Apothecary Bottles stamp set) was stamped in Night of Navy and colored lightly with Copic marker B0000; E53 and E55 used for the cork. I took a matching Apothecary Bottles die - cut out twice, so I'd have a second jar for the base of the shaker. I again used the Fancy Foliage die with flowers cut using Spellbinders' Rose Creations die set. Some navy pearls were used for the centers. I nearly covered up the flag pole, but it was cut from metallic silver card stock. Whew! Are you still with me? LOL!
There are many more gorgeous pennant creations by the rest of the breadsticks! You can click on the links below for their individual blogs or go to the ODBD website to see ALL of the new release.
