ITP May Release Day #1

Yay for beginning the introductions to the May release at Ink to Paper! Manufacturing delays due to coronavirus issues didn't allow us to have a release in April, so the design team is very ready to get some new inspiration headed your way with the new release goodies! Today we are featuring the Wild Fields stamps/dies + Skinny Frames: Diagonal Border dies + Inside Greetings: Mother's Day + To Die For Sentiments: Mother's Day die! I was on a roll with some color blending using distress oxide inks and decided to go with similar styles aka silhouette stamping but with different background colors for both cards.  I love this sentiment which could be used for a variety of reasons (sympathy, illness, etc.).

STAMPS: Wild Fields
INK: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber distress oxide inks; True Black
PAPER: White, True Black
DIES: Border Bling: Skinny Diagonals Frames
TECHNIQUE: Color Blending

TIP: I find it a necessity to use a stamp positioner (I use a MISTI) when I stamp images with black ink. I like it crisp and bold which only results after two or three inkings!

TIP: This large sentiment die is so beautiful, but it is intricate and I've learned to always add a metal shim to the "sandwich" layer when running it through a die cutting machine. I also run it through a second time after turning the "sandwich" 90 degrees.

Don't forget the inside of your cards! ITP has quite a few inside greetings that make this simple to do. I had a small border leftover from the background panel and added it to the inside to tie it all together.

STAMPS: Wild Fields, Inside Greetings: Mother's Day stamps
INK: True Black (PTI), Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet distress oxide inks
PAPER: White
DIES: To Die For Sentiment: Mother's Day; Border Bling: Skinny Diagonal Frames
TECHNIQUE: Color blending

You will want to head over to the Ink to Paper blog and check out the other projects the design team has created!

Happy stamping and tune back tomorrow for Day #2 intros!
