30 Day Coloring Challenge Day 5

I created this ink blending background several days ago for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge sponsored by @kathyrac on her The Daily Marker blog and finally got a completed card made today. I used Pumice Stone, Weathered Wood and Faded Jeans distress oxide inks and blended with the wonderful brushes by Taylored Expressions. They really are superior for blending IMO! I used Unicorn pigment ink by Memories and the Frosty Flakes stencil by The Greetery.

The same 3 background inks were used to stamp the bird. In
hindsight, it doesn't stand out like I'd like, so I'd probably redo my color choices if I would make it again. I've been mulling over the idea of using the Blooming Branch stamps for a winter version. Our middle son and DIL have a large, gorgeous holly berry tree so that is what I tried to recreate by using berries from Budding Beauties: Autumn and pine sprigs from With Love At Christmas - all by The Greetery. Guess you could say I did a whole lot of grafting to complete this branch - lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by!                 ~Wanda
