ODBD January Release is Here!


You'll soon be humming along with us at Our Daily Bread Designs when you see this month's lovely musical themed release!  As always, you'll have a chance to win gift cards by checking out the design team entries and leaving comments along the way!

Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the design team cards!  You have until January 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EST to leave your comments on the designers' blogs for a chance to win!  The winners will be posted on the ODBD blog on January 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!


For my first card, I started with this new cutting and embossing plate called Faithful Fish Pattern for the card base.  It adds such great texture!  The guitar image and sentiment are from the new Sing Thy Grace stamp set.  Other ODBD products used are the Beautiful Borders die, the Sparkling Stars dies, the Mini Tag dies and the Antique Label and Borders dies.  The long oval dies are by Spellbinders.  I clear embossed the images after stamping with Versafine Onyx Black ink and used lots of foam dots on all the layering.


 The piano is the only musical instrument that I'm able to play and I knew I wanted to use a cut file to create a piano shape for my second card. The sentiment is from the new Sing Thy Grace stamp set which I clear embossed.  I also used ODBD Fancy Foliage dies and the ODBD Aster dies were cut using ODBD Heart and Soul Collection of papers.

Your first card is so fun and fresh - the stars and different die-cuts are perfect. And the second with your amazing piano cut file - and the beautiful pop of Asters - is beyond GORGEOUS!

    Both cards are very cool. The piano card is my favorite. The cool thing about the piano card (other than the great design) is that if you take off the flower, the card will still work very well for a masculine card too. Well done.
