I want to wish all my blogger friends a very happy and blessed new year! Yes...even though I have not met many of you in person, I still consider you to be my friends and I value your visits and your comments!
I had a leisurely new year's eve and new year's day with lots of football and stamping going on! Tomorrow, it's back to work after being off 3 weeks. :-( Here's my card that I created while watching a close game between Stanford and Wisconsin...
I wanted to play along with the first sketch for January for the Viva la Verve challenge in the SCS forum. This year, there will be a twist to one sketch every month - an inspiration photo! I generally was inspired by the colors and the flowers and immediately went to MME's On the Bright Side-Two pad for my papers. The flowers were stamped twice, cut out, popped with foam dots and highlighted with a decorative brad. The leaves were cut from a fern die by Cherry Lynn Designs. This is a good example of the way you can mix and match Verve stamps as I used 3 different sets!
STAMPS: Love Notes (Verve) - sentiment label outline
Lean on Me (Verve) - flower
With Love (Verve) - sentiment
INK: Pumpkin Pie, Versamark
ACCESSORIES: Jenny Bowlin brads, Classy Label die by Verve, Orange seam binding.
Happy New Year my sweet friend! Your card is beautiful...you totally rocked the color combo and the sketch! Hugs ~S~

ReplyDeleteI used the same MME pack for my card to be posted tomorrow. Love your use of the insp. picture and Verve flowers. Wishing you a fabulous 2013 and so happy to be a Mojo Maker with you :)
