I'm excited to share a project I created as the December/January guest designer for the challenge team on the Our Daily Bread Designs blog! This week we have a "Bookmark It" theme...somewhere...somehow...you have to incorporate a bookmark in the entry. I went with Christmasy colors on this diagonal double pocket card (tutorial is found in the SCS resources section HERE) so I can not only tuck the bookmark in the front pocket, but can add a gift card to a bookstore in the back pocket! This cardinal image from ODBD Sing for Joy set is one of my faves from that company! I bought it when I visited the York, PA Heirloom stamp show 2 years ago and got to meet Kelley, the ODBD company owner and designer! The image is also special because it's the state bird of Ohio where I was born and raised and of Virginia where I currently am living. Enough of my blah, blah, blah and on to the card. The bookmark is actually a Sizzix Bigz Two Tags die from SU to which I added a new sentiment from ODBD Warm Wishes set that fit perfectly! This verse from Zephaniah 3:14 is a great reminder to "Be glad and rejoice with all your heart"! If you love God and wish to share your faith through beautiful scriptures and images, then Our Daily Bread Designs company is for you! They have amazingly talented design and challenge teams that knock your socks off with their gorgeous creations!
Be sure and check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the challenge team:
