Poinsettia in Pink

 

Happy Saturday friends! Getting this post up before the huge game at noon between Ohio State and Indiana! I was born and raised in Ohio so I'm always a Buckeye fan - lol! I brought out an old stamp/die set from Altenew and am using the current sketch at Try A Sketch On Tuesday.       

I was also inspired by the mood   board for Just Us Girls challenge: pink and brown, snowflakes, greenery, etc.  

I white embossed all the images then watercolored and die cut from Ranger's water color paper.  The background panel was a stenciled piece I had in my leftover pile.

Festive Friday

Good Friday! Boy, did it ever turn cold yesterday! Woke up today to 27 degrees here in the Shenandoah Valley with some snow squalls last PM. I am entering this card into the Festive Friday Challenge which has an inspiration board where I used gold, glimmer, embossing, angels, and Christmas sentiment.

The background panel is a foiled piece from my leftover pile. The sentiment was gold embossed.

Freshly Made Sketches

 

Good Thursday everyone! I received happy mail yesterday from My Favorite Things with multiple paper pads in a variety of colors! I decided to create a festive Christmas card with layered snowflakes as the focal point of Jen Mitchell's sketch for the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Welcome to another challenge at Word Art Wednesday! This time we have a verse from I Corinthians 15:57 for inspiration. I computer-generated printing the sentiment onto Stampers Select White paper but you are not required to use the posted verse. Newton's Nook is our sponsor this time, so join us in the challenge for a chance to win!     

This was the first time using the Into the Blooms: Acorn die set from Papertrey Ink and it is so fun! I color blended using dye inks and brushes then splattered with white Gouache paint.

SSS Monday Challenge

This week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is asking us to "emboss it".  These snow chums are surrounded with an embossed frame plus, each postage "stamp" has an embossed stitching detail around the edges.    

The snowflakes were die cut then fine glitter was added for some sparkle. The quilted die cut panel in pink is a favorite cover plate of mine!

Tic Tac Toe

Hi crafty friends! I'm playing along with the Tic Tac Toe Challenge using yet another version of my new fave Build-An-Angel die set from Papertrey Ink! I went with the bottom horizontal line using "die cut, metallic element, and festive sentiment". I started with the alcohol ink background panel that has been in my leftover pile for a long time.

As You Like It

 

The current As You Like It challenge is asking us to share a favorite embellishment and why. I like using tags as focal points with the added embellishments of ribbon and twine. There's just something I love about combining the casual, rustic look of jute twine with the more formal, dressy look of satin ribbon! This card also fits the current Word Art Wednesday challenge to be inspired by the scripture from Micah 7:8.   

I computer generated the sentiment then stenciled the florals before die cutting the tag. I always love the look of black and white with a pop of color!

Freshly Made Sketches

There's a great new layout by Jen T. for the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I cranked out yet another angel card from the newly released Build-An-Angel die set from Papertrey Ink. I sponged Pale Peony ink on the angel edges and layered gold glitter card stock behind the skirt and vellum behind the wings.

It doesn't show up in the photo, but there is a subtle shimmer to the oval layer after spraying it with Sheer Shimmer "Sparkle" craft spray.

Just Us Girls

I was on a roll playing with the new build an angel dies from the last release at Papertrey Ink! This one uses the colors - gold, white, blue - for the current Just Us Girls challenge.    

I had the silver foiled snowflake base layer in my leftover pile which made this a fairly quick and easy card to complete.

The sentiment was white embossed onto navy paper. Here's what else I used:
