PTI August Release Day 2

Welcome back to day #2 of the August release at Papertrey Ink! Today, we are introducing you to Love to Layer: Leaves dies + Leave It to Me stamps and dies + Elegant Edges: Wheat Stalks dies + Psalm Reflections stamps and dies + Border Bling: Falling Leaves dies.

Leaves, leaves and more leaves! One of my fave images to use for fall. The wheat stalks on the edge die is a beautiful new design! Love these fall patterned papers from PTI's collection...check it out! I even used the inlay pieces from the wheat stalk edge die and tucked them into the arrangement.

STAMPS: Leave It To Me, Just Sentiments: Appreciation.
INK: Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Fine Linen, Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Terracotta Tile.
PAPER: Vintage Cream, Ripe Avocado, Text-Style Fall Prints & Patterns.
DIES: Elegant Edges: Wheat Stalks, Leave It To Me.
OTHER: Jute twine.

I smooshed distress inks onto Bristol Smooth Surface paper and dried between color layering. I then splattered with some yellow gold paint and continued with metallic gold paper for the sentiment and grid background.

In hindsight, I wish I had sponged the edges of the leaves to define them and make them stand out a bit more.

INK: Old Paper, Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin, Peeled Paint distress spray stain.
PAPER: Rustic Cream, Canyon Clay; Metallic Gold; Bristol Smooth Surface.
DIES: Love to Layer: Leaves, Larger Than Life: Fall, Delicately Woven.
OTHER: Enamel dots; Gansai Tambi Starry Colors (yellow gold); Master Layout O8 dies.  

Last but not least...a new scripture from the beautiful Psalm Reflections series!

Since it references "songs of praise", I knew I wanted to use some patterned paper with music on it. More ink smooshing and splattering...this time with black paint.

STAMPS: Psalm Reflections: August.
INK: Ripe Avocado, True Black; Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge, Carved Pumpkin, Old Paper, Peeled Paint distress spray stain.
PAPER: Bitty Big: Simply Chartreuse, White; 5th Avenue 6x6" (Melissa Frances).
DIES: Border Bling: Falling Leaves.
OTHER: Black paint, Enamel dots.
