Good Monday everyone! The July release at Ink to Paper will be happening this Wednesday (the 15th) but the reveals had to be delayed a bit due to manufacturing and delivery delays. The design team was in a crunch with getting projects done, so we will present reveals for two days instead of our usual four. That means you'll be getting a long post, so grab your favorite drink and read on!
Today we are introducing Just Sentiments: Because Mini Stamp Set + Love to Layer: Floral Fusion + To Die for Sentiments: Hello Beautiful Die + Graceful Wings Stamp Set/Dies in my first two card samples.
I color blended the card base with 3 distress oxide inks, layered the cover plate die then did more color blending on this great focal die. If you gently lift the edges, you get a dimensional look which I love! I tucked small pieces of printer paper around the cut edges so I could take a blender brush and "color" in the images.
STAMPS: Just Sentiments: Because Mini set
INK: Speckled Egg, Evergreen Bough, Broken China, Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks; Versamark
PAPER: White, Vellum (Ink to Paper)
DIES: Love to Layer: Floral Fusion, Cover Plate: Herringbone die (Ink to Paper)
This is a lovely butterfly set that you can decorate to your heart's content with flowers! I "stamped" the background with a small narrow acrylic block and distress oxide inks on the rough side of water color paper to get the loose striped look.
The sentiment was cut out twice and adhered together to give it more firmness.
STAMPS: Graceful Wings
INK: True Black, Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Bright Buttercup, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Green Parakeet, New Leaf
PAPER: Watercolor by Ranger; White, True Black, Linen Fresh Snow (Ink to Paper)
DIES: To Die For Sentiments: Hello Beautiful, Graceful Wings, Banner Builders: Basics (Ink to Paper)
OTHER: Smooch Spritz (applied to butterfly to make it sparkle)
We are introducing Growth Stamp Set/DIes + Cover Plate: Herringone Die + Floral Breeze Stamp Set/DIes + Floral Breeze Accessories Die in my next two card designs.
I wanted to create the look of a shuttered window so I cut down the herringbone die to fit behind the medium pierced frame die. I kept it fairly neutral and wanted the greenery and the pots to be the only pop of color. I love the two shelf sizes in this set that even have the bracket details!
STAMPS: Growth, Just Sentiments: Because, Rustic Brick Background
INK: Soft Stone, Enchanted Evening, New Leaf, Green Parakeet, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, Weathervane, True Black, Lemon Tart
PAPER: Soft Stone, White
DIES: Cover Plate: Herringbone, Pierced Feature Frames, Growth
I chose to go CAS with these sets and combined a silhouette look with an alcohol ink background of green ink and gold mixative. I love this technique and layered it with a small border of metallic gold cardstock to pull the colors together.
The accessory sentiment die was done in two layers of white.
INK: Alcohol ink in green, Gold mixative
PAPER: Gold Luxe, True Black, White (ITP); Yupo
DIES: Floral Breeze and Floral Breeze Accessories
I will post photos of all the stamps and dies so you will know what
to expect with the new products.
Thanks so much for hanging in there with me. Stay tuned tomorrow for more awesome new goodies! Hint: You'll be learning about the birds and the bees - lol!
Happy stamping! ~Wanda
Love your little window construction with the herringbone die!
