Claire has a great sketch for this week's challenge at The Paper Players! I tried to use some colors that aren't typical for me and ventured with Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea and Smoky Shadow from Ink to Paper. I also used a lighter green - Spring Moss - which is one I use often but not in this combo. The background panel is smooshed with the Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea and Smoky Shadow inks. Reminds me of a turbulent sea - haha!
I need to build up my sympathy card stash, so that's what led me to use this sentiment. The vertical element was a trimmed down version of the Border Bling: Diamonds die by Ink to Paper.
STAMPS: Dear Friend (Ink to Paper).
PAPER: Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea, True Black, Gentle Moss, Smoky Shadow; Ranger water color paper.
INK: Gentle Moss, Ocean Tides, Stormy Sea, True Black.
DIES: Border Bling: Diamonds, Dear Friend, Pierced Feature Frames (Ink to Paper).

Wanda, this is so pretty! I needed two sympathy cards this week! I wish this was in my stash. I love the soothing, calm colors and those gorgeous leaves. SO happy you joined my sketch challenge at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteThese are totally my colors! Very pretty, Wanda.
ReplyDeleteVery cool...your "smooshing" has created a stunning background for your greenery! Lovely for a sympathy card! Thanks for playing with our sketch this week at the Players!
ReplyDeleteYou should use that color combo more often, it is lovely and works so well for a sympathy card. And that smooshed background! Wow! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card with us at The Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteLovely! It DOES look like a stormy sea - one to watch from the window of a shore-house! Perfect backdrop for your pretty leaves - and just right for a sympathy card. Thanks so much for sharing it with us this week at The Paper Players! :)
