It's time for another Fusion Card Challenge and the inspiration photo has an ombre look that I knew I wanted to combine with the sketch! I finally inked up this sweet PI image from My Favorite Things called Sweet Summertime and colored with Copics. I wanted to blend distress oxide inks on the background to mimic the colors of a watermelon: Mowed Lawn, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, Festive Berries - in order from bottom to top. I was happy with the outcome and even added some seeds from MFT's Watermelon die!
Copics Used:
Watermelon - R22, R24, R29, YG25, YG17, C00
Shirt - Y11, Y02, Y06, Y08
Shorts - B41, B45, B97
Hair - E33, E25, E79
Socks/Shoes - C3, C5, C7, C8
Skin - E000, E00, E21, R20
STAMPS: Sweet Summertime (MFT).
DIES: Stitched Ric Rac, Sweet Summertime, Watermelon Slice and Sentiment Strip Die-Namics by MFT; Stitched Ovals by Lil Inker Designs.
We'd love to see how you are inspired by the new Fusion Card Challenge! Hope to see you in the gallery.
