Hello blog friends and Happy Valentine's Day! It's time again for a new Color Throwdown Challenge and yours truly is this week's hostess. I fell in love with this beautiful heart-shaped floral photo and thought it would make a fun color palette - lilac, green, gray, white - to brighten up this gray winter season! Even though love is in the air, I went with a non-Valentine card and went with my favorite subject matter: flowers!
I stamped the colors using distress inks then took a brush and lightly dabbed some water over the images to blend the colors a bit. The center flower is popped up with foam tape and the 'you' sentiment was cut 4 times - three times with gray CS and once with black CS.
STAMPS: Hibiscus Bouquet (Altenew), Marble BG (MFT).
INK: Wilted Violet, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade distress inks by Ranger; Silver Lining dye ink by WPlus9; Versafine Onyx Black.
DIES: Striped Sentiment Strip Die-Namic by MFT; Hibiscus Bouquet by Altenew.
