A quick post for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge to create a watercolor wash background. This is one technique I haven't mastered yet, but I will keep trying! To see a couple of incredible samples by Laurie Schmidlin, you'll want to check out her video HERE. I used Weathered Wood, Stormy Sky, Scattered Straw and Wild Honey distress inks. I first smooshed the ink pads on acrylic blocks, then picked up colors with a flat, wet brush. I stamped the sentiment twice with a MISTI using Not Quite Navy ink by SU. The leaves were stamped with WPlus9's Beanstalk and Last Leaf inks. The roses were stamped with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry inks by SU.
STAMPS: Rosy Posy and Rosy Posy Step 2 by PTI; Pen & Ink by PTI.
It's time to hit the shower and head out to work! Hope you're having a terrific Tuesday!
