It's time for another Color Throwdown challenge and you'll love these great colors chosen by our hostess, Lori, from this inspiration photo!
As you can see, I went with a brighter, sunnier orange tone and smooshed 3 different distress inks - Spiced Marmalade, Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire - on some TH water color cardstock. I'm really not ready to skip ahead to Christmas, but this new die by Simon Says Stamps arrived in my mailbox the other day and I was itching to use it! I dry embossed a scalloped border (SU) and added a trio of wooden snowflakes. Some jute twine, a stitched banner flag and joy sentiment in metallic gold completed my first Christmas card of the year!
Big shout out to Rosemary Dennis of Hey there...rosigrl! who is our guest star stamper this week! She's one of our talented and regular challenge players at CTD, so be sure and check out her card!
