With a new month comes brand new products at Our Daily Bread Designs! You will love the new stamps and dies...so perfect for those spring projects! My 2 cards will focus on a great new Fancy Fritillary Die set (a 'must have' butterfly die) and a beautiful Lord's Prayer Script stamp!
I knew right away I wanted to create a center step card to highlight
the prayer as the focal point. The ODBD Shabby Rose Collection of papers seemed a perfect fit with its subtle butterflies in the background of this pattern. Remember the Layered Lacey Square die set released last month? Here's a way to stretch their use and cut the largest scallop square down to use as borders! I clear embossed the sentiment after stamping with Versafine Onyx black ink. The butterfly is vellum layered over Rose Red cardstock. The leafy flourishes are from ODBD Fancy Foliage die set.
For my second card, I wanted to go with a more clean and modern design, so I covered a scrap piece of white cardstock with washi tape, rounded the corners and cut out a negative space using the base shape of the Fancy Fritillary Die set. The intricate butterfly was cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock then brushed with a clear Wink of Stella marker to add subtle shimmer which doesn't show in the photo (insert frowning face here). I only adhered the body so the wings would remain dimensional. I used the
smallest square of the Layered Lacey Squares die set and used two of the corners as accent pieces - another way to stretch the use of that die! I thought this would make a great birthday card, so added the Happy Birthday word dies inside.
Here are the prize details...
Three randomly selected winners will each receive a $25 gift certificate to the ODBD store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD stamps found in the "stamps column" of the website just for commenting on the design team cards! You
have until May 2, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. EDT to leave your comments on the designers blogs for a chance to win! The winners will be posted on the
ODBD blog on May 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!
