Color Throwdown

Check out these great summertime colors chosen by our talented hostess - Vickie Zimmer!  The ship on the shelf, the stripes and the clean and crisp room design inspired me to create a nautical themed card for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge #300!

I used stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti to create this little nautical collage and based it on the
July Sketch For You To Try.  Here's a clue for you: When you work with navy ink and white cardstock...beware!  I had to add the tiny orange flag thanks to my smudging! :-(  Actually, I rather liked the balance it gave to the card, so it was all good in the end! I used varying sizes of SU rhinestones to create the fish bubbles.

Play along with us this week and you just might be in the spotlight next week by being our guest star stamper!  You don't have to have exact colors to play along, but you do need to have a close resemblance.  Be sure and link your creation to the linky tool at the bottom of the current challenge post on the Color Throwdown Challenge blog.
