Is it Spring Yet?

The Color Throwdown Challenge has some really yummy spring colors - thanks to Barbara! Pear Pizzazz...Blushing Bride...Kraft...it just doesn't get much better than this! I went with this dogwood image from SU and colored it with Copics (RV0000, RV11, Y02, YG91, YG93, E43, E44) & touched the centers with some Diamond Stickles. The Pear Pizzazz panels were embossed with a CB EF. I lightly sponged the edges of the punched butterfly (by Martha) using Blushing Bride ink, then added pearls. The layout is from Roxie's SCS Sketch Challenge this week. OK...that's all, folks!

  3. I saw these colours last night and just sighed with joy :) LOVE them! Gorgeous work with them too! The dogwood is BC's provincial flowers and you have done a great job colouring them. Well done :)

  6. Great job with the sketch and colors!! Flowers are gorgeous!! As for my sewing issues-you mentioned you were curious. Had the first janome for a year and the bobbin mechanism messed up and I could't fix it-not worth taking to a sewing center. Got out my old singer and was practicing as it sews differently-finally ready and when I went to thread the bobbin color I wanted-I totally messed up and didn't push the inside of the wheel all the way and broke needle and pressor foot- just need to go to a sewing store to get a new pressor foot. Yes, I DO know better!! Wow-did I write a book here????
