This is Your Gift
SCS announced its newest 2 members of the Dirty Dozen today, plus they have a 48 hour challenge for fan club members to create a card/project based on a song. The prize? A gift from the ETSY treasury gallery worth up to $100! Woohoo! Of course, chances are about as great as winning the lottery, but you can't win if you don't play! If I won, I would choose this pale rose teardrop floral antique copper necklace...isn't it gorgeous?! For more challenge details, go this link in the forum. Since I just went to hear John Tesh in concert this past Monday night, I chose a beautiful song of his entitled 'This is Your Gift'. I just LOVE the words to this song and wanted to share them with you...
If a star can be a sign that the light is breaking thru,
And the child in your arms makes the whole world seem brand new.
We can embrace all the grace we've been given,
Stand in the light of the wonder we live in.
This is your gift, this brand new day.
So take it to heart, take it on faith.
Open your eyes, don't be afraid to learn how to live.
This is your gift. This brand new day. This is your gift.
When it's hard to say a prayer, when you're overcome by fear,
And you see each day through a thousand fallen tears,
Hope takes your hand and it picks up the pieces.
Love comes to life as we live and believe it.
This is our new beginning. This is where we start.
We'll take what God has given and we'll live it from the heart.
This is your gift, this brand new day.
So take it to heart, take it on faith.
Open your eyes, don't be afraid to learn how to live.
This is your gift. This brand new day. This is your gift.
My card hopefully represents the song's theme...I used a Tim Holtz' EF and circle Nesties to represent the sun rising each morning. New green leaves in the spring always represent a time of new growth...a new beginning...a reminder we need to embrace our new gift of a new day every day!
The sentiment was computer-generated. DP is by SU from the Welcome Neighbor pack.
