Fall Release Card #5
Late last night I completed the 5th of Julee's sketch challenges for her release week. Woohoo! Now, I'm crossing my fingers and toes that I'll win some free Verve! I went with a Christmas theme using very non-traditional colors. This also goes for Betty's Color Challenge on SCS to use Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron & Tangerine Tango with the dessert option to use anything white - gel pen, white embossing, etc. I didn't add anything white, but stayed with a lot of white in the BG. I didn't know how to get a sentiment in this layout, so decided to go with a collage of Merry Christmas sentiments on the saffron panel. It's 51 degrees in VA and our furnace isn't working. We're waiting on a new circulator part (due in today), so I'm heading to make some coffee and am dressed like it's January! :-)
STAMPS: Tree Trimmings (SU), O Christmas Tree (Verve)
PAPER: Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron, White, Black
INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango
ACCESSORIES: Button, Ribbon, Stamp positioner
Gorgeous! Love your use of the images for the CC and the sketch! WOW!
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing all the challenges!! I got mine done yesterday and my last one will post tomorrow. These off angle panels gave me grief I tell you!! Great work with the sketch and I like all the sentiments on the one panel.
ReplyDeleteHoping you get toasty warm by the end of today!! Remember when our furnace went. It's amazing how cold it gets. Made my heart go out to those in refugee camps and on the streets in a new way.
Great design on this Wanda! love those pretty ornaments - hope your furnace gets fixed quickly for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sample you made for us today, Wanda!! I really liked these colors together.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card in these non-traditional colors! Please visit my blog award post on my blog as I have something for you. :-) Hugs, Judi
