Cool Card in Hot July

If you're looking for the CTD winner announcement...please scroll down to my next post. It's a super hot day in VA, so when I saw the SCS F4A challenge I jumped at the chance to make a COOL card - snowflakes and pearls! :-) Ever buy something only to have it sit on your shelf for a LONG time without using it? Last year I bought some tiny ink spots by VersaMagic (chalk ink) and am just now using one of them! Pitiful, right?! I embossed the snowflake BG using CB's 5x7 EF, then layered several Nestie layers using pop dots. Kaiser silver pearls are the only accent used. I reorganized ALL my paper yesterday, and have tons of retired colors I need to use up. Using the Blue Bayou CS is a start to that goal. Stay cool today...whereever you are.

STAMPS: Christmas in the Air (Verve)
PAPER: Blue Bayou, White

  3. When we lived up north I would always go sit out in the first snow of the year... I loved it.. falling on my face, hair, and coat... if I wore one.. I just loved it.. .and today is a perfect day to feel that ... so may I come to your house and sit in the middle of your pretty card??? It is so COOLING... love it..

I wanted to do this challenge today.. .but other things are on the horizon... fun things... so I too was playing with snow flakes and pearls, and all kinds of cooler things... thank goodness... it is humid plus here... and a little bit of mountain breeze every so often... but not much.. Need a huge pool.. think I will look into that... not kidding..

Thanks for all your lovely comments..
